Our PGCE programmes with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) have been designed by experienced practitioners with support from Headteachers and outstanding subject practitioners.
The course awards 60 Masters Level Credits which can be used towards a Masters Degree.
PGCE programmes combine 'core training' sessions with classroom practice, all of which is based in schools across the West Midlands region. Core training sessions, often in the form of seminars and workshops, bring together associate teachers to reflect on their practice and share their experiences whilst receiving training from experienced colleagues.
Employment Rate 2022/23
Experience
Over the 37 week programme, you will spend a minimum of 24 weeks honing your practical skills.
Associate Teachers’ skills are carefully developed and monitored by Mentors and Professional Tutors.
WMC Course Leaders support you throughout visits, tutorials and training workshops activities.
Written assignments encourage you to reflect on theory through your direct experiences in schools.

Train to Teach drop-in event to be held online via Microsoft Teams.
We will be holding an informal online session for potential applicants wanting to apply for teacher training who would like to learn more about the different routes into the profession. This is an opportunity to meet the Director of ITT together with course leaders and to ask any questions that you might have about teacher training.
