Teacher Taster Course – 2008

The Teacher Taster Course is intended to give you the opportunity to gain an understanding for teaching either Design & Technology or Information & Communication Technology in secondary schools.  The course will also provide details of the West Midlands Consortium PGCE courses and teaching as a career.

Two Saturdays, 12 April and 26 April, will be based at Thomas Telford School.  Participants will spend two consecutive days during the intervening two weeks in two of the West Midlands Consortium’s secondary schools.  The Thomas Telford School based days will be from 9.30am until 3.30pm, the school based days will follow the individual timings of each school.  The days have been selected to minimise participants having to book leave and to help with their other work commitments or childcare responsibilities.  West Midlands Consortium will provide light refreshments and lunch on days 1 & 4.
